Girls tennis season begins Aug. 1 with a general meeting for high school and jr. high athletes, all at Summit courts, at 9 a.m. Introduction to the season and practice will last until 10:30 am.
High school team will continue practice Aug. 2 and the following week. Scrimmage Thursday, Aug. 8 10-12 and the Tri-County Challenge Doubles Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 10 9-12.
Jr. high athletes will begin practice about 10 days later, depending on the junior high coach’s instructions.
High school participation fee is $175 and the Jr. high club fee is likely to be $165, exact fee to be determined based on the number of athletes signed up for the team.
A general girls tennis parents meeting has been moved to Aug. 6, 7 pm at the Summit Cafe, expected to last about an hour.
