Sophomore Megan Barnes started her high school tennis career Tuesday as she fielded 3rd singles on the Raider varsity tennis team. Saturday August 23 brought a bright sunny afternoon for the first home match of the season.  The worthy opponent was Westerville Central, both teams were coming in with one loss records.  The Raiders starting line up included A Soza between the pipes, E Vogelgesang, C Rogers, P Van Horn and CJ Rock in the back.

Raider tennis girls defeated Mt. Vernon last week in the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association tournament 3-2. First singes Diamond Person won easily while Second singles Tori Bridges showed great athletic performance in her straight-set win. Junior Ciara Boykins showed great patience defeating Bexley on third singles Wednesday night and pulled out a straight-set win eventhough the team lost 1-4 Boykins played text-book third singles by staying in the points with patience and took control of most points by moving her opponent around.
